The Galaxy Tab S4 is turning out to be a very interesting tablet if recent reports and leaked renders are anything to go by. The successor to the Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to sport slimmer bezels than ever before for a wide and immersive display. We now have some renders courtesy tipster Evan Blass, which pretty much confirms that the Galaxy Tab S4 is going to bring narrow bezels, the S Pen will see a new design language and both will come in white. The tablet is expected to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Note 9 at an Unpacked event on August 9.Blass posted a couple of renders on Twitter revealing the Galaxy Tab S4 and the redesigned S Pen. Notably, both the tablet and the stylus are going to come in a white colour option, apart from the expected black colour variant. Talking about the tablet first, we can see the front at an angle, revealing slimmer bezels all around. We can also notice the missing home button, which has been reported in the past. The black keyboard cover will be an optional accessory as per Blass. The cover hides the back and sides of the tablet, which are going to be in white as per Blass.Samsung has been emphasising the stylus quite a bit, suggesting some new functionalities, although details around it are slim. A render posted by Blass shows the new stylus next to the Galaxy Tab S3 S Pen to show what’s different. From the render, it seems Samsung is ditching the matte finish and is going with a glossy look. It also looks as though the new stylus will have some additional twisting functionality, but we cannot say anything for sure right now. The S Pen will beadvertisementThe latest tip doesn’t mention any other detail regarding the Galaxy Tab S4. However, we do know some information about the hardware courtesy a benchmark listing last month. The Galaxy Tab S4 could bring a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED (1600X2560) display. The benchmark further revealed that the Galaxy Tab S4 will be powered by last year’s flagship Snapdragon 835 chipset along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. As for the cameras, the tablet will likely bear a 12-megapixel sensor on the back and a 7-megapixel sensor up front. This suggests the front camera is getting a bit of an upgrade over the Galaxy Tab S3. Like its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S4 is also going to support LTE and either a 6000mAh or 7,300mAh battery. It is expected to run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.

00:00 /01:15 X According to some polls, Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton, the two major party nominees for president are among the most unlikable candidates in modern times. The question is, what psychology drove us to this point?Elizabeth Simas is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Houston. She was a guest on Houston Matters Wednesday, and told me that as the sources for political discussion have increased, voters have become more polarized in their selection.Houston Public Media’s Coverage of Election 2016“All the choices that people have in media now, you can avoid the other side if you want. You can put yourself in an echo chamber. And when you are constantly being told that your side is right, it just reinforces that and it makes it more difficult for you to be open to compromise or hearing the other side,” says Simas. So are political parties and the media simply giving the people what they want? In some ways, yes Simas says. “Media has a profit motive and with the increased number of choices, they also have to compete for viewers, or listeners, or readers or whatever it is they’re after. They have to be responsive to where the audience is,” she says.As for the major political parties, Simas says, “The ideal of democracy is that candidates are responsive to constituents and to public opinion.”But she believes the elite control the majority of a political party’s platform. She also thinks this election is similar to one 24 years ago.“In 1992 people were dissatisfied with Bush and unhappy with that, and nobody was really thrilled with Clinton as a candidate, at least very early on in the election cycle. He was a dark horse, and what happened, you had the rise of Ross Perot.”Will Donald Trump’s campaign change future elections? Simas says that depends on how successful he is on November 8th. Former “Chelsea” host Chelsea Handler mocked the White House’s officials statement regarding the Shine hiring, tweeting “The White House said he “brings over two decades of television programming, communications, and coverup of sexual harassment.”” Since we now pay Bill Shine’s salary, feel like we’re owed a full accounting of his role in covering up nearly two decades of sexual harassment and blackmail.— Chris Hayes (@chrislhayes) July 5, 2018Popular Vox columnist Ezra Klein tweeted about the appointment being in line with a strategy off “triggering the libs,” speculating the appointment was engineered to make liberals angry and/or upset. Former Fox News executive Bill Shine will join the White House as deputy chief of staff for communications. The White House said he “brings over two decades of television programming, communications, and coverup of sexual harassment.” Amen.— Chelsea Handler (@chelseahandler) July 5, 2018Several prominent media figures were also quick to point out Shine’s checkered history in the public eye. Chris Hayes, host of “All In” on MSNBC, touched on how American citizens should be filled in on Shine’s role in the Ailes allegations, given his salary is now paid by American taxpayers. ×Actors Reveal Their Favorite Disney PrincessesSeveral actors, like Daisy Ridley, Awkwafina, Jeff Goldblum and Gina Rodriguez, reveal their favorite Disney princesses. Since taking office, the Trump administration has been a revolving door of abusers of women and their enablers—and Shine is just the latest perpetrator to be added to those ranks.”Shine will be serving as Trump’s assistant and deputy chief of staff for communications. Former Fox News executive Bill Shine’s White House appointment by President Trump has drawn ire across social media. Many Twitter users have been quick to point out that he resigned as co-president of Fox News in 2017 due to his close relationship with Roger Ailes and accusations that he attempted to cover up Ailes’ alleged sexual harassment allegations.Gretchen Carlson, who filed the first sexual harassment lawsuit almost exactly two years ago, pointed out the irony in a tweet, saying: “This …. on the 2 year anniversary eve of filing my harassment lawsuit; giving women a voice, letting them know you can be believed, launching a national movement to stand up and speak up and say enough is enough. On Sunday, fire broke out on a temporary structure and spread to the fourth floor. As the building was evacuated before the fire spread, none was hurt. On the roof a temporary structure had been made, but the purpose of the structure is not clear yet. Some locals stated that it was being used as the kitchen for the guest house, whereas others claimed that an undergarment factory used to run there. The hydraulic ladder was used to spray water from Lenin Sarani. While firefighters were dousing the fire, the temporary structure on the roof collapsed. Meanwhile, occupants of the other adjacent buildings got panic stricken and went outside. Also due to thick black smoke, some locals felt uneasy and breathless. At around 7 pm, the fire was controlled. Later, Fire minister Sujit Bose went to the spot and interacted with the fire brigade officials. “Our men are working. Fire has been controlled. Anything more can be said only after inquiry,” said Bose. MLA Nayna Bandyopadhyay also went to the spot. It has been alleged that the temporary construction which was made on the roof of the building, is illegal. But it is yet to be confirmed from the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) whether any permission was given to erect such a structure. Sources informed that whether the building owner and the guest house owner had obtained all the necessary permissions from the competent authorities or not will be checked. If any flaw is found, the fire brigade may lodge a complaint against the building owner and the guest house owner.
